Landlords must give deposit protection information

There are a lot of tenants on a shorthold tenancy, so it is important for landlords to follow obligations to protect their deposit and supply information.  Gullands solicitors can assist landlords with this.

There are two kinds of tenancy deposit schemes which Gullands solicitors practice; one is where the landlord sends the deposit to a deposit scheme administrator, which must be within fourteen days of receipt.  The other option is where the landlord keeps the deposit but has to pay an insurance fee to the scheme administrator.

Gullands solicitors can make sure that the landlord provides all information to the tenant and adheres to the scheme.  If not the landlord must pay the tenant three times the amount of the deposit as a penalty.

Gullands solicitors help many landlords in the Maidstone area with keeping within the compliance.
